About SustAccess

Back and forth between Gateways and Hinterland

Goods are transported back and forth to and from production units - by lorry, ship or rail. People travel back and forth for reasons of work, leisure and education or for social/cultural reasons - by car, bicycle, by bus or rail or just by foot. The availability of transport modes determines the choice. Sustainable access is needed.

Gateways are places/areas which large numbers of passengers and/or large amounts of goods are destined to or from. The Hinterland is of course the surrounding setting of these gateways.

SustAccess intends to offer examples of environmentally sustainable transport planning. SustAccess challenges planning agencies and politicians to develop strategies to reduce the road bound transport of both freight and passengers.

SustAccess welcomes you to get involved in this change of policy.
